Privacy Policy

The short version. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and tracks nobody. It collects personal information in exactly one place: the assistant on the “Ask Me” page. If you never type into it, the only record of your visit is a short-lived server log.

What is collected
1. What you type into the assistant
Everything you send to the assistant — the description of your project, and any name, email address, company or other detail you choose to give it. You decide what to type; nothing is required.
2. Technical information
Your IP address is read on each request to the assistant so that requests can be rate limited, and standard request logs (timestamp, URL, status, user agent) are kept briefly by the host for reliability and abuse prevention. No profile is built from them.
3. Nothing else
No cookies. No local storage. No analytics, pixels, fingerprinting, advertising identifiers, or session recording. Browsing the site without using the assistant leaves no personal information with the publisher.
Why it is collected
- To answer you. Your messages are sent to a language model so it can reply.
- To follow up on a project. If the assistant judges your enquiry to be a genuine project and you have given an email address, it emails the publisher a summary of the enquiry together with the conversation transcript, so that a human can reply to you.
- To keep the service available. IP-based rate limiting stops one visitor from exhausting the service for everyone.
The legal basis is your consent, given by choosing to type into the assistant. You can stop at any time; nothing is sent to the publisher unless the assistant has enough to pass on and you have provided an email address.
Who it is shared with
Personal information is never sold, rented, or used for advertising. It is handled by the following service providers, each acting on the publisher’s behalf:

Loading the typefaces and the JavaScript library causes your browser to make requests to Google and to unpkg. Those providers therefore see your IP address and user agent, as they would for any site that loads resources from them.
Information communicated outside Québec
All the providers above operate in the United States, so personal information you give the assistant is communicated outside Québec. Before using them, the publisher assessed this communication as required by Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, taking into account the sensitivity of the information, the purposes it is used for, the protections each provider offers by contract, and the legal framework applicable where it is handled. Each provider is bound by its own data protection terms:
The information involved is business-contact and project information. Please do not send confidential material, credentials, or anything sensitive through the assistant.
How long it is kept
The site itself stores nothing. There is no database and no session store: the conversation exists only in your browser tab, and disappears when you close or reload it. It is re-sent with each message so the assistant keeps its context.
- Enquiry emails — kept in the publisher’s mailbox for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting engagement, then deleted.
- Server logs — kept briefly by Cloudflare under its own retention terms, then discarded.
- Conversation content held by Anthropic — governed by Anthropic’s terms, linked above.
Your rights
Under Québec and Canadian law you may ask to:
- access the personal information held about you, and obtain a copy;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- withdraw your consent, and have the information deleted where the law allows;
- receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- have a link to it de-indexed where the conditions in the law are met.
Write to hello@fredjocelyn.dev. You will get an answer within 30 days. Because nothing is stored on the site, a request will normally concern an enquiry email — mention roughly when you wrote so it can be found.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. Visitors outside Québec may also contact the authority competent where they live.
Confidentiality incidents
If a confidentiality incident occurs that presents a risk of serious injury, the publisher will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, and will keep a register of incidents, as the law requires.

This policy may change as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
